Before Renomination at the Cleveland Convention Center

(PUT-IN-BAY, OHIO – June 15, 2010) Award-winning Put-in-Bay novelist, Bob Adamov will be releasing his sixth novel, Tan Lines, in his Put-in-Bay based mystery adventure series at this year’s Cleveland Tall Ships Festival from July 7th through 11th.

Tan Lines continues the popular Emerson Moore series and Adamov’s string of Lake Erie Island best sellers which include Rainbow’s End, Pierce the Veil, When Rainbows Walk, Promised Land and The Other Side of Hell.

The Story in Brief – Tan Lines
Something is killing the perch in Lake Erie. Is it bioterrorism or a new fish kill virus? When incumbent United States President and the Canadian Prime Minister visit the Ohio State University’s Stone Lab on Gibraltar Island for a conference and walleye fishing, the President disappears. It’s two days before the President stands for renomination at the party’s national convention in Cleveland.

When the head of the Presidential Protection Detail accuses Washington Post investigative reporter Emerson Moore of attempting to assassinate the U.S. President, Moore escapes and a massive hunt is initiated to capture Moore. The hunt is soon expanded to include missing Secret Service Agent and a mysterious, unidentified third party.

Amidst a sniper’s assassination attempt, a covert terrorist in Grosse Ile, a series of unsolved murders, a rogue Put-in-Bay police officer, an illicit love affair, arson, Pirates’ Week festivities, a terrorist bomb threat in Put-in-Bay and boat chases; Moore tries to stay one step ahead of his would-be captors as he works to clear his name and find the President.

Recognition
Adamov was the featured author at the 2006 Ernest Hemingway Literary Festival in Key West. He was recently named Writer of the Year for 2010 in regional competition sponsored by the University of Akron’s Wayne College. His first novel was a 2003 runner up as the top fiction novel in the Great Lakes (won by Pulitzer Prize winner – Middlesex.) All of his novels were rated 5 Stars by the Midwest Book Review and several were named as top novels in northeast Ohio by the Akron Beacon Journal. His novels have won awards at the Hollywood Book Festival, London Book Festival, New York Book Festival and the Indie Awards.

“Bob Adamov is a superb craftsman of hanging-on-the-edge-of-your-seat mystery adventures…” – Midwest Book Review

Hollywood/Clive Cussler
Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer’s staff compared Adamov’s writing style to Clive Cussler and Tom Clancy. Cussler has become a fan of Adamov’s, had him speak at his October 2008 convention and endorsed his last novel, The Other Side of Hell.

A screenplay has been prepared on the first novel, Rainbow’s End, at the request of Dominic Sena, director of Kalifornia, Gone in Sixty Seconds, Swordfish and Whiteout. The screenplay is currently being revised.

The Author
A Kent State University graduate, Adamov resides in Wooster, Ohio and often can be seen driving his award-winning, bright yellow 1939 Packard street rod throughout northeastern Ohio and the Lake Erie islands.

Seventh Novel in the Works
Adamov is planning on a summer 2011 release for his next novel, Sanduste, which takes readers from Put-in-Bay on a worldwide race as rivals seek to identify and interpret pieces of a puzzle leading to Lincoln’s secret code and a valuable treasure.
